As answered by Max Jaffe:

Name a visual artist and/or author whose work embodies what you do musically:
Some of John Baldessari’s concepts regarding pieces of artwork and what such a thing constitutes have been influential on my approach to my instrument and music at large.

Where were you born and where do you live now:
San Francisco General Hospital. Brooklyn, NY

If you had to move, where would you choose:
Well now, is this question asking where would I want to live if money and other practical matters weren’t an issue? If so, somewhere in Italy or Greece along the Mediterranean. If this question is asking where would I move if I HAD TO MOVE because New York is being lazered to death by the spaceships from ID4 or something, then Milwaukee, WI.

Name something you miss about your hometown:
My mom.

What is your favorite vernacular phrase/device of your hometown:
When people refer to Burlingame as “Bgame” without batting an eye.

What is one thing you hope a listener takes from your music:
Positively charged energy.

What is your favorite weather condition:
72 degrees, partly cloudy, in February.

Favorite food/drink:
Burritos from the Mission District in SF or anywhere in the Peninsula. Black coffee.

What is something you find funny:
Self-important Manhattanites.

What is your favorite sound, musical or not:
Things that happen outside my window at night. A single bell.

What is a non musical event that has influenced your music:
SF Giants winning the 2010 World Series.

What do you like best about the internet:
Instant access to worthless information.

What animal do you most relate to:
Most of the time, when people play that game “Which animal is so-and-so like?” people tend to say I’m like a panda bear but I think that is mostly because I’m half Asian.

What’s your favorite mode of transportation:
Jet pack.

If you weren’t a musician, what occupation would you most enjoy:
Foley artist (the person responsible for overdubbing sound effects in movies).

What is one song you wish you wrote:
“Don’t Stop Believin’” by Journey because I’d be sooooooooo rich from those royalties.
